So, where do we start! Let's start with Samantha who greeted us when we arrived. Samantha is a Jack of all Trades as she was the hostess, Innkeeper, breakfast cook, cleaner, you name it she did it and what really stood out to us was how she made you feel welcome and would engage in conversation with all the guests and that is huge in this day and age. She is is just such a wonderful pleasant person and we hope the owners know what a gem they have in her, she is the best! Second, the staff that we had the pleasure of meeting, Mark one of the servers and Lindsey another server/bartender, they were both so polite and very knowledgeable of the menu and the Inn itself. Third, William the Chef and his staff who put out excellent dinners both nights we were there. The menu is unique and uses a lot of local fare. These dinners were some of the best we have ever had at Inns and restaurants for that matter and we stay at a lot of inns, so bravo to Chef William and his staff. The drink menu is great and I highly recommend the Night Owl before you call it a night! Fourth, the breakfast menu is also a hidden gem from the Fritta and the Brioche French Toast, both were outstanding. Fifth, let's get to the Inn itself, we absolutely loved the feeling of the Inn when we first walked in as you felt like you were stepping back into the late 1800's as it just felt right. The dining area is cozy and limited so no overcrowding and just a great ambience. We stayed in the Martin Lyon Suite which had a very comfortable King bed, nice old armwa's and a cozy little sitting area. This Inn does sit right off a main road but the traffic noise was minimal. The Inn and rooms are spotless and very well kept. We cannot say enough good things about the Inn and we are already in the process of booking our stay here next year.
