Dont stay here!! I'd recommend Home2Stay across the street. We booked rooms here for a baseball tournament. It's really close to Rickets stadium (across the hwy). We figured Holiday Inn Express is a safe bet to be a clean and nice hotel. We were wrong. The building was old, outdated, and not maintained. Rooms were not climate controlled modernly. Had to manually crank up a 20 year old Air conditioner. The lobby area was always filled with water due to the pool. Lobby was wet, common areas were wet, elevators were wet. Didn't seem like anybody was on mopping duty. Lobby front door was broken (wouldn't close all the way). Left a 2 foot gab without closing. That should have been a sign. Saw at least 2 large families with a lot of kids come in early morning and leave in the evening. Clearly, families who had not booked rooms but were just using the facilities. Wouldn't allow a late checkout. It's probably the 1st time I have ever been denied a late checkout in my experience of staying at hundreds of hotels. The Patio area was a concrete slab area in the back with a few tables and a grill. But you can tell management had no thought to maximize the space. No lights. No firepit. It was pretty obvious ownership didnt want to put in too much effort or money into making a nice gathering space. It was pretty obvious that whoever owns this hotel does just the minimum and won't invest any time, money or effort into making the hotel a nice stay. Makes you wonder what other corners they cut to save money or cut costs. Hope this helps anyone who plans to potentially stay here.
