There wasn’t anyone after 8:00 pm to manage the hotel.
I ran into a situation where I left the room at 8:00 am and returned after 10:00. The room was not made up. I called the front desk and they advised me that they would make up the room the next day. I asked to speak with a manager and they advised that the manager leaves at 8:00 pm and and didn’t return until the next day. I asked that the manager contact me by phone the next day so we can discuss the deficiency.
I never heard back from the manager so I called the next morning around 11:30. They stated the manager was out! So I then asked that he call me. I never heard from him.
I returned to the room after midnight and noticed that the phone in the room had a blinking red light. So I called the reception desk and the clerk could not tell me how to retrieve the message. I finally figured it out myself. When I listened to the message the manager called me at 8:00 pm, I guess just before he left for the day.
The next morning I checked out at 5:00 am to continue my trip. I have every intention of writing a similar review to the Hyatt organization, who I’ve been a loyal member of.
I also booked the same Hyatt hotel in Tempe Arizona through Trip.com in a few days. I hope I dont have the same experience.
Also, there were tour bus guests in the hotel. This made it difficult for the staff to attend to all their guests for the breakfast they could not replenish the stock of food in time for all to share.
