SLCPD asks for help finding hit-and-run driver

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City Police are asking for the public’s help with finding a hit-and-run driver.
The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on June 14. Police said a Ford Explorer hit a 41-year-old woman in a parking lot behind 1472 South State Street. She sustained life-threatening injuries.
The two people in the SUV got out and checked on the woman but then left the scene. Police happened to find her while on an unrelated call. The woman is now in stable condition.
Police are looking for a newer model, light-colored Ford Explorer with a panoramic sunroof. Anyone with information on the suspects or the SUV is asked to call the police at 801-799-3000 and reference case number 24-130079.
