AI'preneurs Acceleration Program: Results Are In! For the past three months, we’ve had the pleasure of introducing you to the talented participants of the AI'preneurs acceleration program and sharing their impressive progress. Today, we are excited to wrap up the program and share the final results! Out of 250 applications, 50 top specialists were selected to form teams and develop AI-driven startups. Over the course of four months, 21 startups were launched, and 9 of them successfully completed the acceleration process. We are proud to announce that 7 of the top-performing teams received funding under the Seed Money program to further fuel their growth! The success of the #AI'preneurs program demonstrates not only the incredible talent of Kazakhstan's tech community but also the country's potential in shaping the future of AI. These startups are just the beginning, and we are confident that they will make a significant impact globally. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to support innovation in Kazakhstan!

The Astana Smart City Accelerator program has demonstrated the effectiveness of integrating advanced technologies into urban environments, paving the way for Astana to become a digital technology hub. Pilot project results show that these innovations can address critical urban challenges and enhance residents’ quality of life.

#Inventivo: Transforming Rehabilitation with AI With a background in #medicine and #IT, Makpal Ikramova combined her expertise to tackle #rehabilitation gaps in Kazakhstan. The platform Inventivo digitizes rehabilitation programs and provides real-time feedback through smartphone cameras, ensuring patients follow exercises correctly while allowing doctors to oversee their progress remotely. This innovation has already been piloted in major clinics and has shown great promise in streamlining care and improving patient outcomes. Inventivo is currently expanding in Kazakhstan and exploring international markets, with plans to scale globally. The startup has also participated in accelerator programs like Astana Hub's #StartupGarage, which played a key role in launching their pilot project and securing first sales. "We aim to become a global leader, making Inventivo a vital tool in rehabilitation and medical education," says Makpal. Hero’s Journey Secures $6 Million Investment In a podcast with DigitalBusiness.kz, investor and business angel Murat Abdrakhmanov shared that one of Astana Hub’s residents raised $6 million in funding. According to him, this is one of the largest single-round investments in the history of Kazakhstani startups. Murat mentioned that the $6 million round was announced in June this year: “There was an oversubscription. We gathered hard commitments of $7 million.” Out of the total, $1 million came from the MA7.VC fund and angel investor club, while the remaining amount was secured from other investors. The funds are set to be used for the project’s expansion into the U.S., specifically for launching an innovative fitness club in New York City. Hero's Journey develops gamified fitness studios. Founded in 2022 by entrepreneur Ilyas Isatayev, the creator of the Invictus fitness club chain, Hero’s Journey focuses not only on providing gym access but also on analyzing individual fitness goals and customer experiences. This personalized approach makes working out more engaging, encouraging clients to visit the gym more consistently throughout their membership compared to industry averages. The world's biggest tech event of the year, Web Summit 2024, welcomed Astana Hub and IT PARK Uzbekistan under the unified brand Central Asian Innovation Hubs. Together, they showcased 15 startups offering cutting-edge solutions in AI, data analytics, fintech, digital banking, sustainability, and digital health. Magzhan Madiyev, CEO of Astana Hub, emphasized the rapid growth of the region’s tech landscape: "We aim to create a robust ecosystem for technological business and startups in Central Asia. Strategic partnerships with global leaders like Google for Startups and Draper University, along with accelerator programs such as Hero Training and Silkway Accelerator, enable entrepreneurs to achieve new heights." At Web Summit, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan showcased a range of startups, including: Oraclus (advanced web, blockchain, and AI-driven solutions), ZebraEye (AI-based software diagnosing rare eye conditions), Hired Valley (a job-matching platform connecting university students to opportunities), FOQUS (AI-powered behavior analytics platform for industry insights), beyim.ai (AI-driven educational platform for personalized microlearning), iWatt (Smart energy management solutions), Paylov (Secure online payment gateway) and others.
