𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 The "Stone Garden" project by architect LINA GHOTMEH — ARCHITECTURE in Beirut reflects the city's history and dynamism, combining traditional and contemporary architectural forms. The building integrates nature with varied window sizes, showcasing craftsmanship and experimental construction techniques. It includes residential apartments, art galleries, cafes, and offices on the ground and first floors, with parking available in the lower levels. Student Name: @mouhammad_al_ayoubi 4th year Project - Lebanese University - Branch 1 Year: 2017 Nestled in the heart of Beirut, near the sports city of Ghbayreh, this remarkable architectural project is set to transform an ordinary supermarket rooftop into a vibrant urban oasis. The site is bounded by three roads and a highway that runs below its eastern edge, creating a dynamic and accessible location. The project draws inspiration from the natural structure of plant cells, where fluid flows through vessels and nutrients are stored in cells. Similarly, the project features a network of sheltered walkways that connect the different building clusters, which resemble cells in their shape and envelope. The buildings are clad with a rhomboid pattern that varies randomly between open and closed panels, creating a striking visual contrast and allowing natural light and ventilation. The project also incorporates public spaces that cater to different needs and interests, such as cultural, agricultural, and commercial activities.
