LAU Mobile Clinic Emergency Relief Missions for Lebanon in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health and its assigned Primary Health Care provider (PHC) the Beirut Association for Social Development - Health Sector (BASD) are Bringing vital relief and renewed hope to displaced communities in Lebanon! 🇱🇧 On October 9, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health, the Lebanese American University (LAU), along with teams from LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital and LAU Medical Center-Saint John’s Hospital, deployed two mobile clinics to Amlieh High School in Ras El Nabaa. Our dedicated physicians, nurses, and staff provided essential primary care services, screenings, and medication to those in need. This mission was further strengthened through close collaboration with the Beirut Association for Social Development (BASD) - Health Sector. BASD’s skilled logistics and medical teams ensured the smooth coordination and delivery of services, complementing LAU’s medical expertise with vital operational support. Together, our collaboration enhances the reach and efficiency of these relief efforts. Additionally, LAU distributed 150 family care hygiene kits and 150 first aid kits, ensuring families have access to essential resources during these challenging times.  Both LAU and BASD are committed to making a lasting difference, working tirelessly and collaboratively to provide care, compassion, and hope to every community we serve.

We're hiring for this position! Tag the people you think are fit for the job. Job Duties include: 1. Fire Safety Protocol Management and Environmental Oversight: • Administer and uphold fire safety protocols, including preventive measures and maintenance of firefighting equipment. • Conduct routine fire safety drills, inspections, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. • Manage and oversee fire zoning and barrier protocols within the hospital. • Oversee third-party contractors responsible for fire systems, including fire alarms, firefighting, and fire suppression. 2. Life safety Protocol Implementation and Compliance Management • Implement life safety protocols, including emergency response strategies and evacuation plans. • Oversee safety measures undertaken by any contractor at any site, including coordination with the hospital infection control team. • Conduct regular assessments on construction sites and audits to verify compliance with life safety and environmental health regulations. • Participate in all safety-related meetings and workshops with consultants, ensuring proper coordination and sharing knowledge of hospital protocols. 3. Occupational Safety Oversight, Risk Mitigation, and Emergency Preparedness • Supervise occupational safety practices to mitigate workplace hazards for hospital staff and patients. • Perform systematic safety inspections to identify and mitigate risks throughout hospital facilities. • Develop and oversee emergency preparedness plans, ensuring readiness for natural disasters.
