  • During a press briefing aboard Air Force One on Sunday, US President #DonaldTrump shared his proposal to "cleanse Gaza," as he put it. Trump stated that Palestinians should leave Gaza for neighboring countries to “just clean out” the whole strip and wants Egypt and Jordan “to take in Palestinians from Gaza so they could “maybe live in peace” there. He revealed that he had spoken to Jordan’s King Abdullah II on Saturday, requesting that Jordan accommodate more Gaza residents. “I said to him, I’d love you to take on more, because I’m looking at the whole #GazaStrip right now, and it’s a mess, it’s a real mess. So, I’d like Jordan to take some of them," Trump said. He also expressed his hope that Egypt would take in more Palestinians, noting that he planned to discuss the matter with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi later that day. “You’re talking about probably a million and a half people, and we just clean out that whole thing,” he said. “I’d rather get involved with some of the Arab nations and build housing in a different location where they can maybe live in peace.” When asked, Trump said the relocation could be temporary, “or it could be long term.” Trump’s remarks, which have been rejected by many countries in the region and attacked as dangerous, illegal, and unworkable by lawyers and activists, come as the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas enters its second week, and Israel opposes the return of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to areas in northern #Gaza. Trump had previously announced that "a lot of things" ordered by Israel from the United States are currently being delivered. This statement came in response to media reports that his administration had approved the release of a shipment of bunker-busting bombs, each weighing 2,000 pounds (907 kilograms), designed to penetrate thick layers of concrete and metal.

  • A video circulating on social media shows a woman from #SouthLebanon standing her ground against Israeli forces and their gunfire in her village on Sunday. In a scene reflecting extraordinary courage, the Lebanese woman is seen confronting Israeli soldiers as they fire warning shots, saying phrases like: “This is our land. You don’t scare us. Go back to your country and your family.” Israel has refused to leave Lebanese border villages and adhere to the 60-day withdrawal deadline stipulated in the ceasefire agreement reached in November. Despite the Israeli military issuing several warnings to the Lebanese people against returning home, hundreds of Lebanese villagers on Sunday took it upon themselves to attempt to enter their villages and return to their homes. This led to several confrontations between the unarmed residents and the Israeli military in various towns, with Israeli forces firing at crowds of civilians and kidnapping several people before releasing them with bruises and signs of assault. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, Israeli attacks on residents returning to their homes in #Lebanon have killed 24 people since Sunday, including six women. The Health Ministry's Emergency Operations Center said on Monday that the Israeli violations in the past day have also injured 134 people, including 14 women and 12 children.

  • “Hundreds of thousands of families have had their homes destroyed, and their villages and towns lack infrastructure and basic services. Personally, my house is destroyed, and I don’t have the money to rebuild it or even construct a single room. Where will I live?””

  • With just two days remaining before the 60-day deadline of the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel—mandating the withdrawal of Israeli forces from South Lebanon and granting the Lebanese army sole authority to deploy and carry arms in the area—new developments have emerged. Israeli media outlets have reported that the Israeli military intends to maintain its presence in southern Lebanon beyond the agreed deadline, citing Lebanon's alleged failure to comply with the agreed-upon measures. Israel’s Channel 14 stated that the Israeli political and security cabinet confirmed the military does not plan a full withdrawal at this stage and is prepared to respond to any violations by Hezbollah. Similarly, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that the Israeli military is preparing for an extended stay in South Lebanon and has informed UNIFIL forces and the United States of its decision. It added that Tel Aviv had requested Washington to extend Israel’s military presence in Lebanon under the pretext of needing more time to dismantle Hezbollah's infrastructure. In response, Hezbollah issued a statement on Thursday demanding strict adherence, “without any exceptions or concessions," to the terms of the ceasefire agreement, which sets January 26 as the final deadline for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon. Hezbollah called on the Lebanese state to take firm action against any violations of the ceasefire agreement and to ensure its full implementation, including the withdrawal of Israeli troops within the specified deadline. It is noteworthy that, since the agreement took effect on November 27, Israel has violated the ceasefire at least 630 times, killing 38 people and injuring 45 others within the 60-day period.

  • For the first time in Syria's history, Asaad al-Shaybani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the interim government, represented Syria at the #WorldEconomicForum in #Davos, Switzerland. During an interview conducted by former British Prime Minister #TonyBlair, al-Shaybani discussed the Syrian government's vision for the future of Syria and the aspirations of its people. One of al-Shaybani's key statements during the session was: “Lifting economic sanctions is the key to Syria's stability." He added that these sanctions must be lifted soon, as they were initially imposed to benefit the Syrian people but now work against them. He remarked, "The reason for imposing these sanctions was Bashar al-Assad, and he is now in Moscow." He stressed that the new authorities will focus on five key sectors: energy, communications, roads and airports, education, and health. Al-Shaybani also announced that Syria will open its economy to foreign investment, asserting that the time has come for peace and development in Syria, far removed from the shadow of war. #Syria #SaudiArabia #SaudiVision2030 #Blair

  • The value of diversity within an Islamic framework is far from incomprehensible to HTS; al-Jolani expressed in a statement that, “in the future Syria, we believe that diversity is our strength, not a weakness.” His words echo a verse included in the Quran which states that mankind was “created [...] into nations and tribes so that you may know one another” (49:13).

Abrahamism is a melting pot, where nationalism fades and a unified religious identity emerges. Muslims display the same spiritual nationalism exhibited by Jews, allowing a conflation between theological claims, with biological and regional ancestry to appear reasonable, even logical. In the case of Israel, the narrative shift towards Abraham aligns seamlessly with the discourse utilized by Zionism since its earliest days.
