In collaboration with PHIOS AG, Pantec Biosolutions AG presents a new application example. To guarantee the focus we decided to do a FFT (Fast Fourier Transformation) on each image in one of our projects. The amplitudes in the frequency domain and the diversity of them can be used to determine if the image is focused or not. 💡🔄 The calculation runs at 100 FPS on an Arria10 SoC FPGA and was written in VHDL. 👌 The implementation was carried out in cooperation with @PHIOS. In collaboration with PHIOS AG, Pantec Biosolutions AG presents a new application example. The detection of object movements in videos is required in many areas of application. We have solved this detection by calculating the optical flow. Here, each pixel is assigned a direction vector by determining the pixel movement between two images. The absolute value of these movements is shown in the video below. The calculation runs at 100 FPS in an Arria10 SoC FPGA and was written in VHDL.
