Dialogues shape thoughts, thoughts shape decisions, and decisions drive action. Topics like nature, democracy, capital, and curiosity should transcend political parties; they demand that we challenge and rethink them independently and holistically, by fostering collaboration and competition.
Private and philanthropic funding catalyze innovation, public funding drives ambitious missions (like defense or space), and institutional capital scales proven solutions. We aim to break down silos by fostering a powerful dialogue, free from power dynamics. We are grateful to Prime Minister of Liechtenstein Dr. Daniel Risch for opening the World Systemic Forum and to the private and philanthropic investors who joined thought-provoking discussions alongside scientists, philosophers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries. We also explored mission-driven space initiatives, showcasing the potential of collective action to shape the future. In space, we have to think holistically and rely on science, technology, and mental strength to survice. Space has also given us solar energy and countless other innovations, proving that missions require serious funding, brilliant minds, and creativity. That’s why we value bold missions, like the new Space Station build by Starlab and Dr. Amelie Schoenenwald for your inspiring insights as a next-generation astronaut, along with all the other great contributors.
Never forget that capitalism is an effective resource allocation tool, but it must align with a holistic, long-term vision. Freedom also requires security and protection of property rights, and nature must be at the core of our economic thinking. Philanthropy, as money with “free choice”, has the unique power to catalyze creativity and inspire institutional investments by de-risking innovation and opening therefore new pathways for our economies and societies. If we avoid addressing capital (the energy driving almost every SDG), we overlook a critical element. The same applies to our attitude.
That’s why we’re grateful that we could build a bridge between the SDG and IDG frameworks with the great support of the Universität St.Gallen (HSG) and Jan Artem Henriksson, while discussing blended and systemic finance, monetary systems and much more.
Thank you all for two weeks of trustful connections, from Schaan, Vaduz, and Flums to Davos.
