Rotaract Club of Kelaniya

The Rotaract Club of Kelaniya was chartered on 21st June 1999 with Rtr. Dilini Abeywickrama as the Charter President. Since then Rtr. Indika Fernando, Rtr. Hafeez Marikkar, Rtr. Gayani Alles, Rtr. Jakque Dias, Rtr. Ramesh Ramkumar, Rtr. Prabath Perera, Rtr. Ashley Sahabdeen and Rtr. Shahad Hussain led the club successfully till 2008. The club was successful in producing several Rotaract District Committee Members and went on to produce three DRRs: PDRR Indika Fernando in 2004, PDRR Jacque Dias the following year, and IPDRR Kasun Sigera in 2020. In December 2013, 11 individuals gathered with the thought of reviving the legacy of the Rotaract Club of Kelaniya and by 9th August the revival installation was held inducting Rtr. Themiya Cabral as President. Following Rtr. Themiya, Rtr. Chathushka Gunawardena, Rtr. Rukshani Adihetty, IPDRR Rtr. Kasun Sigera, Rtr. Shehana Dain, Rtr. Ranga Samarakoon and Rtr. Oshadie Wedarachchi lead the club over the Years. Currently, the Rotaract Club of Kelaniya is being led by Rtr. President Rashmika Silva. Rotaract Kelaniya establishes itself as a volunteer group that mainly focuses on serving the community via innovative means.
