About us

Girls in Tech Liberia, an NGO founded on February 5th, 2019, but actively commenced operations in 2022, is committed to closing the gender gap in technology and promoting STEM careers for women. Our mission is to create opportunities for women and girls in Liberia's tech industry, fostering gender equality and empowering women and girls. We aspire to impact the lives of 10,000 girls and women by 2030. Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 5, our mission is to promote gender equality and empower women through advocacy and opportunities. Our vision is to empower women and girls across Liberia with free tech skills, making them self-reliant. We value teamwork, innovation, efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, and trustworthiness. What we do:  We focus on 4 primary areas that are a call for action: Education, Entrepreneurship, Advocacy and Sensitization. • Education: We offer short courses in Tech, Training and Capacity Building. • Entrepreneurship: We Teach women and girls the business aspect of tech on how to setup their own businesses in order to generate income. • Advocacy and Sensitization: We do Radio, TV, and Social Media live screaming programs.  Through this action, we create an impact on girl’s/women's skills and confidence, preparing them for success.
