For Egle Kesmine, Adroiti Technologies Product Owner, volunteering is a way of life, and today, she is helping Ukraine in its fight for freedom 🔵 🟡 She and her family now volunteer with Vilnius Spiders (LT, Vilniaus Vorai), an initiative that brings people together to weave camouflage nets for Ukraine that help soldiers stay hidden and protected. "For me, volunteering is part of a mature society—when you not only receive but also give back. This is not my first time volunteering, but we got the whole family involved unexpectedly," says Eglė. It all started as a way to help her son collect school volunteer hours. But what began as a small commitment quickly became a meaningful family tradition. Her children soon became the most enthusiastic weavers! "As long as the fighting continues on the Ukrainian 🇺🇦 front and you can make a contribution, you do—whether through donations or your own hands-on effort. Every thought and action is aimed at victory against the aggressor," says Eglė, reflecting on today's geopolitical reality 🙏 Each month, Eglė dedicates 1-3 hours to weaving. One of the process's greatest appeals is its simplicity: just show up, weave, and contribute—no complicated administration. But beyond that, the true reward is the human connection: meeting old friends and like-minded volunteers, hearing firsthand stories from those returning from Ukraine, and supporting Ukrainian women who have found refuge in Lithuania. The first time Eglė stepped into the workshop, she was struck by the scene: "It reminded me of an anthill—everyone was doing something." So far, 1,141 nets have been woven. These camouflage nets are designed to cover military equipment and other objects that need to be concealed. They come in different colours—light, camouflage, and dark brown—depending on the season and the terrain where they will be used. "G. Gott wrote, 'The most precious gift is our time.' So I encourage everyone to give theirs—choose an activity that feels meaningful to you," says Eglė. 🇱🇹 ❤️ 🇺🇦 #Adroiti #technologypowerhouse #cocreate #Trust #AI

🔵 ⚪ What do you usually do after work? For Adroiti Technologies' colleague Rusnė Barzdaitytė, the answer might surprise you: "I go to the hospital to visit sick children." 🙏 For almost a year now, Rusnė has been volunteering with "Niekieno vaikai" (Nobody's Children), an organization dedicated to supporting children in hospitals – children who don't have parents to care for them or whose parents can't always be by their side. "I've always loved being around children. From leading children's clubs to volunteering at summer camps, it's been part of me since I was 15. After a six-year break, I realized I missed their energy, their smiles, and their unique way of seeing the world. That's when I found my way to "Niekieno vaikai". Rusnė shared her lessons and discoveries from volunteering 👇 🔵 It's a Serious Commitment "Many think becoming a volunteer is easy, but organizations like "Niekieno vaikai“ ensure their volunteers are truly prepared. I went through a three-stage selection process and a well-prepared 1.5-month training program. They take the responsibility seriously, ensuring volunteers are emotionally and psychologically ready for the challenges ahead." ⚪ It's Hopeful "When I first told my family, they were cautious. I'm a sensitive person, and they were afraid I'd struggle. However, the training equipped me not only to handle the children's needs but also to care for myself emotionally. Even in sad cases, I remind myself that if they're unwell, my visit can only make their day a little brighter. That's the joy – knowing I can help, even in small ways." 🔵 Gratitude Changes Everything "One of the most emotional moments was when I learned that a little girl I visited every day was finally being discharged. I had grown so attached to her that knowing I wouldn't see her again brought tears to my eyes – but they were tears of joy. Volunteering has changed how I see hospitals and the amazing people who work there, from doctors to nurses. They often thank us, but I feel immense gratitude for the chance to help." ⚪ It changes your perspective "Volunteering has taught me to be more patient and has deepened my appreciation for life. Seeing the children's stories and the challenges they face makes me value simple things – being healthy, having a job, and the ability to give warmth to those around me. It's a profound reminder of how much we take for granted." 💙 Rusnė encourages anyone considering #volunteering to take the first step: "You're not just giving – you're receiving joy, perspective, and a sense of connection. If you feel this is for you, just try. You might be surprised by how much you gain!" At Adroiti, we're grateful to support "Niekieno vaikai" as a company and through personal donations. We hope some of our team will soon join as volunteers! #Adroiti #technologypowerhouse #cocreate #Trust

🔵 ⚪ Meet PhD Justinas Juozas Dainauskas, a Machine Learning expert at Adroiti Technologies, who dedicated his academic career to computational neuroscience and now works at the cutting edge of artificial intelligence. “All my academic and professional work is tied to neural networks,” Justinas says. During his studies, he worked with biological neural networks, modelling the brain. Now, he works with artificial neural networks in IT, analyzing and processing data in databases. 🧠 From Alzheimer’s Research to Supercomputers “I earned my PhD by modelling the brain using computers, creating a model of brains affected by Alzheimer’s disease to understand what needs to be changed in the brain to treat the illness. Of course, it’s not that simple. You can calculate things theoretically, but real-world solutions require more work and research to find the right medication to make those changes happen“. Justinas says that during PhD studies, you gain diverse experiences – travelling, meeting people, and networking. “While working on my PhD, I also worked with supercomputers, gaining access to the most powerful supercomputer in Europe at the time, Switzerland. I even visited a laboratory where four Nobel Prize laureates worked. Encountering top-level scientists like that is incredibly motivating.” However, academia has its challenges, one of them – bureaucracy: „I have always been most interested in the latest technologies, which was the most important factor in my decision to end up as a scientist“ says Justinas. 🔍 The Evolution of Neural Networks Today, Justina's field is machine learning, although he recalls the academic machine learning boom well before #ChatGPT. “In science, neural networks are a foundational tool for conducting certain studies and making predictions, and they can be applied in many areas. For instance, at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, I worked on a project to train AI to identify brain cancer subtypes from gene expression data with more than 80% accuracy.” 🌟 Asked about AI’s future, Justinas shares: There’s no need to immediately fear AI replacing humans, as the trajectory of AI development is complex. While systems like ChatGPT have evolved within certain methodological frameworks over the years, progress in AI can sometimes appear faster than it is in practice. That said, current methods have their limitations, but future breakthroughs—whether incremental or transformative—could lead to new advancements“. At Adroiti, we’re inspired by visionaries like Justinas, who connect science and technology to create the future! #Adroiti #technologypowerhouse #cocreate #stackagnostic #Trust
