It’s been a couple of weeks since my team from AmeraLabs exhibited at Formnext - Where ideas take shape exhibition, and I’ve finally had the chance to reflect on everything we experienced at the show. Formnext’s slogan, “Where ideas take shape,” couldn’t feel more accurate. It’s the perfect environment to spark ideas for new products, improve existing ones, and get a pulse on where the market is headed. This year was no exception. We connected with so many incredible people—old friends, new faces, potential customers, and partners to share ideas. Some of those ideas will eventually take shape - they just have to find the right minds to grow a bit before materialization. A special shoutout to some of the reselling partners we met: Veronica Zybaczynski from Filamente 3D, Tom Ashby and Matthew Hooton from Neill's Materials, and Kostis Koutretsos from 3DHUB Greece. It was great to see you all, whether it was meaningful discussions or quick handshakes! We also had productive conversations with our raw material suppliers, exploring their latest innovations and brainstorming ideas for future products. Plus, we discovered some interesting new materials that could elevate our formulations even further. It was exciting to meet with our strategic partners—CHITUBOX, Lychee, Asiga, and several printer manufacturers. These are the companies that shape the future of resin 3D printing and it is always inspiring to take a glimpse into their vision. The most interesting part was meeting companies looking for new solutions in industries as diverse as aerospace, healthcare and chocolate making. It seems that despite the 3D printing industry trembling from bankruptcies and layoffs, there are still plenty of people hungry for innovative solutions. 3D printing continues to shine as a versatile tool for tackling unique challenges. At AmeraLabs, we do not aim to have the widest range of products, but we do excel in finding niche markets and delivering exceptional solutions. For instance, AMD-3 is revolutionizing RTV silicone mold-making, especially in the movie industry and SFX. XVN-50 shines in props, tools, and even final products, while TGM-7 dominates miniature making. Formnext gave us the chance to showcase these specialty resins and engage with the people who truly appreciate them. We also had at least ten fresh ideas for new applications — it’s hard not to get inspired at a show like this. The ROI from exhibitions like Formnext takes time to fully measure, but one thing is clear: it’s worth being there. Because where ideas take shape, so does the opportunity.
