This past Saturday, AROS MARINE organized the #ProjectManagers’ conference in Paris, gathering all our PMs under one roof for professional growth. 🌊 The day kicked off with our CEO, Giedrius Valainis, setting the tone for discussions centered on navigating the cruise industry’s path to 2030. Our contributions extended to strategic insights shared during sessions moderated by Darius Samuolis. A highlight of the event was our commitment to professional #excellence through the Aros #PMPAcademy. This internal initiative is designed to align our project management practices focusing on a unified approach, and prepare our team for the prestigious #PMPcertification. By enhancing our project language and standards, the goal is not only to raise the bar internally but also ensure outstanding results for our partners. Last week, we concluded our second year of partnership with KTU School of Economics and Business in our ongoing HANDS-ON project. This collaboration focuses on sustainable ship refit projects, emphasizing a circular refit approach that considers the entire lifecycle of materials used on board. This year, two student teams presented innovative and practical projects centered on defining sustainable suppliers and materials. Their goal was to explore how these materials are produced, their composition, and how they can be effectively recycled after their service life on a vessel. From forward-thinking solutions like wood wool panels - valued for their superior acoustic and thermal insulation - to strategic supplier criteria that balance efficiency, sustainability, and compliance, these projects provided us with practical, easily implementable ideas for our daily operations. Thank you to our colleagues from procurement and project management for their active engagement in this project. A special acknowledgment goes to Greta Galminė for her outstanding project leadership.
