Astrolight is looking forward to exciting new year prospects, and we are happy to announce that today, the Engineering Model of our ATLAS-1 Laser Communication Terminal was received by one of our clients. The engineering model is expected to demonstrate a 1 Gbps optical transmit rate with the client's optical ground station, marking an important step as we prepare for an upcoming space mission. 🛰️ This milestone follows the successful completion of qualification tests a few months ago, where our ATLAS-1 Terminal endured thermal vacuum, vibration, and shock tests. We’re thrilled to see this collaboration take flight! 🌌

On Monday, we celebrated Astrolight's 5th anniversary at the Lithuanian Museum of Ethnocosmology, surrounded by our team members, partners, investors, and consultants. We're deeply thankful for their unwavering dedication and commitment, which have been crucial to our growth. 🌟 Over the last five years, the hard work and dedication of our team have brought ambitious projects from concept to reality. This work is a testament to what a truly passionate team can achieve, driving significant advancements within the space tech field in Lithuania. Here are a few moments from a memorable evening. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey - here’s to what’s next! 🚀

Last week, Peter Stensgaard Hansen represented Astrolight at the NATO EDGE 2024 conference in Florida, where he participated in 3 speaker sessions and a panel discussion! We were happy to hear that his 5-minute address on the main stage left a lasting impression that initiated further discussions at Astrolight’s booth with industry leaders, NATO NCIA officers, national delegations, the press, and more. “NATO speaks of a digital battlefield; however, if we cannot communicate (due to jamming or electronic warfare), we lose our technological edge. Astrolight is bringing unjammable, undetectable, and high-bandwidth communication for our safety and security–not only in defense but also in search and rescue and disaster management,” Stensgaard shared. A recurring theme at NATO EDGE was the need for a blend of novel ideas from start-ups and SMEs, paired with the delivery strength of established industrial partners. NATO DIANA has recognized Astrolight’s dual strengths, both the technology and the ability to innovate with speed. Check out some snapshots 📸 from the event below!

If you're at NATO EDGE 2024 next week, visit our colleague Peter Stensgaard Hansen! He will share Astrolight's journey into NATO DIANA Phase 1 and 2 🛰️
I will once more be at #NATO EDGE next week (FL, USA) sharing Astrolight's journey into NATO DIANA Phase 1 and Phase 2 accelerator for unjammable, undetactable and high-bandwidth communication. I will be doing 3 speaking sessions, 1 panel and sharing a booth. A real VIP experience. It will be busy - and interesting. If you want to meet up, let me know. #Astrolight #NATO #EDGE

Here’s a snapshot of us at Space Tech Expo Europe and a reminder that you still have a chance to meet with us, now joined by the CEO, at booth number K11! Today and tomorrow are the last days of the exposition, and our CEO Laurynas Mačiulis is here on Wednesday and Thursday to discuss the latest Lasercom advancements and applications for both Space and Earth. We are demonstrating live tracking capabilities of our naval laser communication system POLARIS and you also get to see a mock-up of our ATLAS-1 laser terminal–as you might guess, there’s not a lot of chances to see it in person. 🛰️ Let’s meet up at the Space Hub Lithuania. Hope you’re on your way! 👋🏼

NATO DIANA has just shared our profile, give it a read and learn more about us and our goals! 🛰️
Could you score on a basketball net from 7 km away? Astrolight’s ATLAS laser could! One of our Phase 2 companies, Astrolight (Lithuania) is a pioneer in unjammable, undetectable, and high-bandwidth laser communication for multi-domain operations. Astrolight’s laser communication solution protects signals from interruption and attack, and improves data and security bottlenecks in ship-to-ship, ship-to-shore, space-to-space, or space-to-ground communications. Being part of DIANA opened up the dual-use market, and has enabled Astrolight to increase its technology development and explore product-market fit through productive conversations with industrial and defence partners. We were waiting to share the latest experimental results from our ATLAS-1 optical terminal testing before it’s ready to kick off, and here it is! 🚀 Let’s get straight into it: ‣ First of all, our optical terminal successfully endured thermal vacuum (TVAC) over an extended temperature range, vibration, and shock tests, demonstrating its resilience to all expected loads. ‣ Most importantly, the terminal remained fully functional throughout the entire testing campaign, with no failures observed. Optical power remained within spec throughout, the FPGA as well as pointing sensors and actuators worked as expected and telemetries were gathered. We’re happy that one of the most important tests for ATLAS-1 so far went very well. It’s been hard work to reach these results, and that is definitely depicted in some new and exciting footage we’ve prepared for you. Thanks to Tartu Observatory for hosting us and conducting the latest test campaign! Take a look at the moments from testing below!
