Welcome Vytenis Koryzna, Detra Solar’s new CEO Today marks a pivotal moment for Detra Solar. After three transformative years, our CEO Joachim Rupp is stepping down to focus on personal matters. During Joachim’s time with Detra the business grew to more than 50 talented professionals at an annual growth rate of 70%. We are now thrilled to welcome Vytenis Koryzna as our new CEO! Vytenis joins us after six years as CEO of Enefit, a leading green energy provider in the Baltics, where he spearheaded renewable energy initiatives and drove significant growth. His strong commitment to sustainability and innovative approach perfectly align with Detra Solar’s mission, and we’re excited for the new paths we’ll chart together. Welcome, Vytenis! Vertical rooftop solar panels could be a game-changer for snowy climates. ❄️☀️ A recent case study by Norway's Over Easy - Vertical Solar for Rooftops found that these systems could generate up to 30% more energy during winter months and perform 3–4 times better than conventional flat-roof installations under low snow cover. What’s behind the improved performance? ▪️Partial snow cover resilience: Vertical panels remain exposed and continue generating energy even when part of the panel is snow-covered. ▪️Increased albedo: Snow reflects more sunlight, enhancing energy capture by the vertical panels. ▪️Faster snow melting: The design of vertical panels absorbs heat and improves airflow, accelerating snow melt around the panels for consistent energy production. With installations like the world’s largest rooftop vertical bifacial solar project at Norway’s national football stadium, this technology is already making its mark.
