🌊 Today, I had the privilege of speaking at the Baltic Branch of the Nautical Institute Conference in Klaipėda, that took place in Lithuanian Maritime Academy - LAJM, representing the maritime community, OJ Crew, and the Lithuanian Crewing Companies Association. I addressed the current challenges facing maritime businesses in our region, highlighting the hurdles we must overcome and the opportunities waiting for us. From regulations to global competition, our industry needs to evolve. I shared actionable methods for success and stressed the urgency of adjusting Lithuanian laws to make our market more competitive and attractive to investors. Excitingly, we’ve already prepared several strategic documents for the new parliament on behalf of the maritime community. Together, we can make Lithuania a leading maritime nation, unlocking its full potential! Let’s move forward with determination, work shoulder to shoulder, and create a prosperous future for our industry. Now is the time for us to take action and lead with confidence! ⚓🚢 #MaritimeLeadership #LithuanianMaritime #FacingChallenges #OJcrew #CompetitiveFuture #SuccessTogether #Lithuania #Klaipeda #ShapingTheFuture

The first barge carrying Lithuanian grain via the Nemunas River has successfully arrived at Klaipėda Port, marking a significant milestone in river transport. This new route is set to become a regular operation, with each barge carrying 1,000–1,300 tons of grain, equivalent to 40–54 truckloads. This initiative not only reduces road traffic but also offers a more cost-effective and efficient way to transport grain. The port authority sees this as a promising step towards greater use of inland waterways for cargo transport in Lithuania. Cadeler eyes vessel work into 2029 Copenhagen-based offshore wind installation company Cadeler has secured a preferred supplier agreement to transport and install wind turbine generators (WTGs). The agreement, with an undisclosed client, guarantees #vessel capacity for an installation campaign scheduled to #commence in 2029. Cadeler stated that the agreement's validity depends on the client’s success in an upcoming auction. In recent developments, Cadeler announced plans to potentially relocate the corporate domicile of its parent company to the UK. This move follows a merger with Eneti and aims at optimizing the company’s structure. The BW Group and Scorpio-backed #shipowner have initiated a detailed feasibility study to examine the legal, tax, and other considerations involved, though a final decision is yet to be made.
