Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona was a blast 🙌 Attending the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona was an incredible experience! It was inspiring to connect with innovative startups and the brilliant minds driving them forward. I’m thrilled to have had the chance to present Stuart Energy at #TheSmartDeal pitching session, alongside five amazing finalists. In the CEE Smart Cities Mobility Index, only one city, Tallinn, has air quality that meets World Health Organisation (WHO) recommended levels. While air pollution has improved in major CEE cities, over 75% of cities analysed in the Index still experience air pollution levels two to five times higher than recommended. This highlights both the public health issues of air pollution and the importance of the European Green Deal, which aims for a climate-neutral EU by 2050 and targets a 90% reduction in transport emissions. It’s a challenging goal for CEE-EU cities, and for CEE cities more generally. While some cities are making progress, collective action is crucial to accelerate this transformation.
