Welcome to the fully transformed ibis Styles Barcelona Sant Joan Despí, a #rebrandedhotel designed to capture the spirit of its vibrant surroundings. But what makes this transformation so unique? SONIA PEREZ ALVAREZ, the hotel General Manager reflects on the journey: 💬"The Novotel had reached the end of its lifecycle, and it was clear that a bold rebranding was necessary. We wanted to bring a fresh, modern, and uniquely artistic experience to our guests. After delays caused by the pandemic, we’re proud to reopen with a new identity and renewed purpose." 📍Situated in a dynamic corporate hub, near major attractions like the FC #Barcelona training fields, Barcelona’s city center, and its airport, this area was ripe for a standout economy-segment hotel. The market had limited options in this segment, with many aging competitors. By fully rebranding and renovating, the ibis Styles Barcelona Sant Joan Despí positions itself as a leader in the local #hospitality scene, ready to meet both corporate and leisure demand. 🎨What truly sets the ibis Styles Barcelona Sant Joan Despí apart is its "artist-inspired design concept". From the lobby to the restaurant and the rooms, every detail immerses guests in an authentic artistic experience: The ibis Styles Barcelona Sant Joan Despí now offers: ✔️ Fully renovated guestrooms and corridors with an artistic flair, designed to inspire creativity and relaxation. ✔️ A reimagined bar and restaurant featuring a unique Mediterranean culinary concept, highlighting local Catalan flavors like "coca de recapte" (vegetable toast) and stuffed cannelloni. ✔️ An upgraded pool area, fitness center, and refreshed common spaces to match the hotel’s artistic theme. ✔️ Sustainable innovations like LED lighting, and advanced HVAC systems to enhance guest comfort while minimizing our environmental footprint. The journey is far from over. Here’s what’s coming soon: 🏆 The hotel is on track to receive #GreenKey certification next month, 🔧 Fully renovated meeting rooms at the -1 level are underway, 🌱 By 2025, the hotel aims to achieve the #BREEAM In-Use certification. 🫶Since reopening in September, guest feedback has been positive. Visitors are loving the artistic transformation, while long-time clients appreciate the fresh and inspiring atmosphere. Nuria Vazquez, our Asset & Portfolio Manager in Spain, shares her thoughts: 💬"The transformation is remarkable, but it’s not complete yet. A #hotel needs more than just a new look – it needs a soul. That’s now the mission of Sonia Perez and her team: to turn this space into a home, where warmth, care, and a sense of belonging create unforgettable experiences for every guest. I’m confident they’ll make it happen." 👇 Discover the artistry and warmth of the new ibis Styles Barcelona Sant Joan Despí. Book your stay today and experience hospitality with a creative soul!

In this high-potential location, the ageing ibis Paris Sacré-Cœur had done its time; rather than a serious renovation, a complete transformation was needed🔄 End 2021, AccorInvest, as owner and operator of this hotel, decided to set a virtuous precedent with an ambitious project based on optimum circularity specifications, the integration of innovative environmental technologies, and upscaling. 📅 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿: The demanding transformation is complete, exceeding all expectations! 🌟 The Mercure Paris Butte Montmartre Basilique is now a stunning, inspiring hotel with: 🛏️ 51 unique rooms, exceptional amenities, 🎨 Interior designs evoking the timeless charm of 1930s Paris. ♻️ Sustainability at its core: Behind the scene, 82% of the waste generated by the renovation - 187 tons – have been reused, recycled or valued. Thanks to the integration of circularity in this hotel’s elegant design, the metamorphosis of the former ibis hotel has been superbly completed. 𝗘𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 “𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿”! [#WeAreAccorInvest🙌] Is emotion important for the General Manager of a hotel? Of course it is! Meet Sharon Thandi, who’s been the GM of the NOVOTEL LONDON PADDINGTON for the past eight years: the way she speaks about her role - and about hospitality in general - is inspiring.✨ Sharon explains.:💬“I’ve always wanted to work in #hospitality. As a child and teenager, I travelled extensively with my parents, twice a year, staying in hotels around the world, in Europe, Canada, Australia.✈️We usually stayed in midscale or upscale #hotels, which impressed me a lot. I knew from then on that hospitality would be my cup of tea - yes, I’m British, so the expression definitely fits!☕ 🎓During my studies in hotel business management, I held my first hospitality job as a part-time #receptionist at the Hilton Warwick: that environment was familiar to me as a guest, and I enjoyed it as an employee – at reception, there’s so much contact with the guests, and it’s an important aspect of customer service! In two years I worked my way up to front #officemanager, learning the ropes day after day. 💪I then felt that I needed new challenge, something that would make my heart beat faster. My studies had stimulated my interest in marketing, finance, quality, and team development, and I wanted to have the #opportunity to sharpen my skills on those topics. So I left the Hilton and rolled my sleeves up even higher. 🏨From Hilton to #ibis. Probably the best way to learn! In an economy hotel, you do everything, you’re all over the place, all the time. My first role was at the ibis Manchester – a truly vibrant city. If you want to know how to run a hotel, I definitely encourage you to work in economy: it’s so hands-on, you learn so much, so quickly and you grow faster. 📊From ibis to Novotel. Another huge step. At that point, my sleeves were rolled up to my shoulders… AccorInvest facilitated the process for me by creating a special position for 6 months, to help me understand revenue management and all other financial aspects of hotel management, in order to prepare me properly for the #GeneralManager role. It was a turning point for me: I met fantastic mentors and I had the great feeling of being trusted. 🤝 🏆Then came August 31st, 2016. My proudest achievement. I was the first GM from outside the region to move straight into central #London, into a key hotel: the Novotel London Paddington! I felt so proud, so thankful, so excited… it’s difficult to describe, but believe me, I will never forget the sheer happiness I felt that day. It’s now been eight years, yet this same feeling of happiness still comes back to me, every time I look at “my” hotel, “my” teams and “my” guests… I guess I’ve found the professional environment that makes my heart beat faster! 💓” Honestly, does emotion matter to Sharon? You bet it does! She’s a #GM! #CareerJourney #positivehospitality #HotelGeneralManager

🌍 During this 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, we are proud to announce that 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲! 🏆♻️ 🍽️ If food waste were a country, it would be the 3rd largest CO2 emitter in the world, surpassed only by the United States and China. 😮 As the owner and operator of over 700 hotels 🏨, we have an ethical responsibility to fight food waste. 💪🍲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝟯-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝟱𝟬%. 📉 By categorizing hotels based on food offerings and costs, we developed tailored action plans. 🔍 Here’s how we’re making it happen: ✅ We engage and train our staff to adopt food waste reduction practices. ✅ We invest in technologies like smart scales to track food waste. ✅ We explore innovative solutions with specialized partners to repurpose remaining waste locally. ✨ And it works! For example, Novotel London ExCel has reduced its food waste by 51%, avoiding 25 tons of CO2 emissions per year! Our approach has convinced ADEME, which now strongly supports us in France. 🇫🇷👏 𝗕𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀' 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. 🌍✨ 📅 Stay tuned on November 28th to discover the public’s verdict at the #HospitalityAwards! AccorInvest a republié ceci
“The effectiveness of leadership is contextual.” These words from Eric Albert in a recent Les Echos column resonate deeply with my journey. Effective leadership, above all, means adapting to the specific context and needs of our people. Over time, I've learned that leadership isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. It requires evolving with changing needs, balancing action with patience, and always keeping an eye on the future. Since taking on a leadership role at AccorInvest, I’ve had the opportunity to blend directive and participative leadership styles to tackle the dual challenge of short-term profitability and long-term sustainability. During the Covid crisis, decisive action was key. With our Executive Committee members, we collaborated closely to protect our assets and ensure the company's resilience. In other phases, a participative approach proved invaluable in building cohesion and engaging teams through our transformation journey. As we push forward with our reinvention, our focus shifts to empowering every voice, aligning our teams around a shared vision, and cultivating trust. It’s collective commitment that drives us forward. I fully align with Eric Albert’s view that effective leadership, especially in times of change, requires flexibility. It’s not just about immediate results; it’s about laying the foundations for sustainable growth. In this sense, having a clear long-term vision and strategy is crucial; not just as a guide to stay the course but also as a way to consistently refer back to our core values. These values are fundamental guiding principles that keep us anchored, especially when navigating through uncertainty. Today, we reaffirmed this vision with our Management Team as we continue to advance on our journey, paving the way for AccorInvest’s future. #Leadership #Management #WeAreAccorInvest Novotel Paris Vaugirard Montparnasse
