Bravo Foodsharing Luxembourg a.s.b.l. ! En matière d’alimentation durable, s’il n’y avait qu’une seule action à prendre, ce serait de lutter contre le gaspillage alimentaire. C’est probablement l’acte le plus écolo qui soit. Quand on sait le poids de notre agriculture et de notre alimentation sur le réchauffement climatique, la perte de biodiversité, l’usage de l’eau et la maltraitance animale et qu’on réalise que près de 40 % de ce qui est produit n’est jamais mangé, mais est jeté, on se rend compte de l’ampleur du problème et en même temps de la simplicité pour le régler. C’est un de nos ambassadeurs, Daniel Waxweiler, qui a créé cela avec des amis à Luxembourg en réalisant que ce qui existait depuis longtemps en Allemagne n’avait pas d’équivalent ici. C’est fort cette capacité d’action! Et ça marche sur le bénévolat, de ceux qui donnent, qui vont chercher la marchandise etc Rejoignez cette initiative, que vous soyez une entreprise ou un particulier (le lien en commentaire). Et vous vous faites quoi pour limiter vos déchets alimentaires? Si vous n’avez pas trop d’idées, je joins le site Antigaspi, super bien fait en commentaire. De mon côté, je réfléchis à mes recettes avant de faire mes courses ou quand je reçois mon panier bio je vais sur internet pour en trouver. Je suis de très près ce qu’il y a dans mon frigidaire. Si vous avez des restes, vous tapez les mots clés et vous allez trouver des recettes, ou je fais des soupes, des salades, des pizzas, des jus « Fouzitout », un régal! Je découvre que pleins d’aliments peuvent se congeler. Je suis la pro du doggy bag car souvent je n’ai pas assez faim pour tout manger au resto. Et enfin je tri mes déchets organiques pour qu’ils soient transformés en compost. C’est essentiel pour régénérer les sols épuisés par l’agriculture intensive et cela évite l’émission de Methane dans les décharges (25x plus réchauffant que le CO2). 🥳 Happy Overshoot Day! 🥳 🇱🇺 Today, February 17th, 2025, marks the Earth Overshoot Day for Luxembourg, a symbolic milestone that highlights our country's excessive consumption of the Earth's resources. 🥈 This means that in just 48 days, Luxembourg has already consumed all the resources available for the year. It arrives 2nd in the world ranking, just after Qatar. A sad podium... 🤡 To celebrate this day, Votum Klima is releasing a parody video on behalf of the government of the Grand-Excess of Luxe-em-bourg, to congratulate the citizens and economic actors of overconsumption in Luxembourg. 🌍 Earth Overshoot Day is the illustrative calendar date, calculated by the American NGO @GlobalFootprintNetwork, on which humanity's resource consumption for the year exceeds Earth’s capacity to regenerate those resources that year.
