🌍🏅 XXVII ANOC General Assembly – A Celebration of Unity and Progress 🌍🏅 The XXVII ANOC General Assembly in Cascais has been a tremendous success, uniting Olympic leaders to shape the future of NOCs and the Olympic Movement through insightful discussions. Day 1 Highlights: Leaders launched the Assembly with impactful discussions on NOC goals and the Olympic Movement, culminating in the inspiring ANOC Awards 2024—an evening celebrating excellence and Olympic spirit. Day 2 Recap: The second day featured video presentations from Continental Associations, ANOC’s social media achievements, Great Britain’s digital strategy, and valuable IOC interventions. This afternoon included a presentation of the report and plan on sustainability, along with reports from various commissions and a vision for ANOC’s future, emphasizing unity and growth. Thank you Paris 2024 👏 Our overall results at the Olympic Games in Paris were positive, exceeding our performance in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2021. "We can clearly see the progress in Luxembourg's elite sports," said Raymond Conzemius, our Chef de Mission. There were many emotional moments to highlight: Patrizia Van der Weken incredible sprint to the 100m semi final, the standing ovation for Xia Lian Ni in Tabletennis, Nicolas Wagner-Ehlinger’s performance in Versailles and Christine Majerus’s thrilling participation in the women’s road race.
