The Luxembourg Drone Federation was created on March 31st 2022 by 6 founding members and aims to promote and advocate the professional interests of its members both nationally and internationally. It strives to help create a regulatory framework conducive to the development of this sector. Among its missions, the LDF aims to help the authorities to optimize trainings and pilot certifications, to simplify the authorization procedures for operators, to collaborate with European administrations and associations and to promote a harmonization of UAV and UAV component certifications outside the EU. Excited to share our latest research on UAV Trajectory Tracking & Obstacle Avoidance using a Chebyshev Pseudospectral Method-based Model Predictive Control (MPC). 🎯 In this work, we demonstrate a real-time implementable Model Predictive Controller that enables smoother, and more efficient flight control for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). During the successful test flight, the drone demonstrated its advanced capabilities and outstanding flight characteristics. Once all the tests have been completed, the drone will be used to investigate the potential for transporting medical samples.
