🌿 Introducing the Cool Neighbourhoods Empowerment Guidebook! 🌿 As cities across North-West Europe face increasing challenges from urban heat stress, the Cool Neighbourhoods project is taking action to enhance livability, resilience, and community engagement. A key part of this effort is the Cool Neighbourhoods Empowerment Guidebook, designed by our partner Except Integrated Sustainability that will support City governments, local communities, and stakeholders in co-developing sustainable cooling solutions. The guidebook is fully aligned with the Cool Neighbourhoods project in several ways: ✅ Project Goals Alignment – Provides structured strategies to mitigate heat stress and enhance urban livability. ✅ Stakeholder Engagement – Ensures active involvement from residents, local businesses, and municipal authorities, fostering shared ownership. ✅ Participatory Processes – Offers a clear framework for co-creation, ensuring community-driven solutions that reflect local needs. ✅ Community Empowerment – Encourages long-term engagement, enabling local actors to take active roles in shaping their neighbourhoods. ✅ Practical Tools & Best Practices – Equips cities with scalable strategies for effective cooling interventions. ✅ Inclusivity & Transparency – Reinforces trust and sustainability through inclusive decision-making. 📢 Cool Neighbourhoods partners are currently in discussions on the first version of the Empowerment Guidebook.
