A graphene nanotube is a rolled-up sheet of graphene. The advantages of TUBALL™ nanotubes in comparison with standard additives are related to their unique combination of properties, including high electrical and thermal conductivity, strength and flexibility. To simplify nanotube handling, OCSiAl has developed its TUBALL™ MATRIX nanotube concentrate product line that allows nanotubes to be used directly in standard manufacturing technological processes. [💡R&D] Spray-dried TUBALL™/NCM composites have made a breakthrough in dry #battery technology. The developed SWCNT/NCM composite #electrode enables a uniform conductive network via spray-drying. With just 0.12 wt.% SWCNRs—10× less than carbon black—it delivers high energy density and long-term stability in thick electrodes (7 mAh/cm²). It retains 89.4% capacity after 100 cycles and 52.2% after 500 cycles, paving the way for next-gen battery performance, as detailed in a recent article published in Chemical Engineering Journal (CEJ).
