Odysseus Space is thrilled to announce the signature of two contracts with the European Defence Agency under the European Defence Fund (EDF) 2023 Calls for Proposals. Starting in Q1 2025, the contracts will leverage Odysseus' experience in space laser communication on the innovative Projects OPTIMAS and AVALON. This agreement marks: 🚀 Odysseus’ support on Project OPTIMAS developing a space-to-drone optical communication system and Project AVALON with a scalable wireless system that supports high-speed underwater communication.   🚀 Odysseus’ positioning as a key player in the EU’s secure optical communications, thanks to its experience with Cyclops TM, a space-to-ground laser communication solution that enables the transmission of large volumes of data to Odysseus optical ground stations in a fast, secure, and cost-efficient manner.   🚀 The extension of Odysseus’ obtainable market for the defence sector, increasing its commercial competitiveness.   Odysseus Space is attending the Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen until November 21st.
