Innovation Meets Expertise: SaarGummi Group at “Doors & Closures in Car Body Engineering 2024”! Last week, our experts Achim Grüter and Thiel Daniel attended the “Doors & Closures in Car Body Engineering 2024” conference in Germany where international specialists gathered to discuss the future of car doors, tailgates, and hoods in the automotive industry. The event focused on key questions: ✅ Sustainability & Lightweighting: How can we achieve cradle-to-grave sustainable solutions? ✅ Future Mobility: What are the new demands for doors and closures in purpose-built and future mobility vehicles? ✅ Electrification: How do we optimize features like frunks and charging access for BEVs? 💡 For us, the conference reaffirmed: We are working on the right projects! Addressing tomorrow’s challenges inspires us to develop innovative solutions that shape the future of mobility. Very impressive to see how quickly the automotive industry continues to develop. As a speaker but also as an active listener at the 8th German-Chinese Automobile Congress organized by China International Investment Promotion Agency (Germany), I had the opportunity to experience current developments up close and also to represent my point of view. In addition to electromobility and the associated battery technology, what impressed me most was the potential of digitalization, be it in the area of autonomous driving and related sensor technology, the digital cockpit or the potential for both through AI. In contrast to this my lecture about weatherstrip (rubber seals) on vehicles. A quite traditional business at first glace. But even the best autonomous, fully digital vehicle is no fun if the interior gets wet or is too loud. Therefore concepts for insulation and sealing on vehicles will continue to be needed in the future. So can we sit back? My opinion: a clear no. The way some component suppliers are currently doing shows us how important it is to keep reinventing yourself. To adapt new technologies and be open to new approaches. Only this can strengthen the future viability of a company. I try to achieve this step by step every day with my great team at SaarGummi Neo.

Our facility was decorated in Mexico's iconic national colors, creating a festive mood that captured the spirit of the day. Our passionate team had the chance to connect, share, and honor the rich culture and history of Mexico. With traditional culinary delights, the event was filled with a great atmosphere and fulfilled with the inspiring speech of Wioletta Rek, Plant Manager of Mexico: “Thank you very much. You are a brave country, a brave nationality. I hope that this bravery will also help us to grow at SaarGummi and that you will show that Mexico is the best nationality in the world!” ¡Viva México!

We rocked it - B2Run Company Run in Germany 🚀   Imagine this: It's summer, and you're traveling to the company run with your colleagues in a chartered bus. The mood is already energizing because everyone is excited about the upcoming event. Upon arrival, you soak in the atmosphere of 7,500 runners, gather at your team stand, and join your colleagues at the starting line.   ➡ It's never about the performance, it´s about the shared experience.   Your colleagues cheer you on at the finish line. You reunite in the after-run area, where cool drinks and food are waiting for you. A dedicated team of supervisors ensures everything runs smoothly. After the run, you celebrate with the entire team and even get to know new colleagues.
