Our Aretsried Location - where it all began 💫 The #Aretsried site in Swabia/Bavaria has a remarkable history. Founded in 1896 by Ludwig Müller, the former village dairy has evolved into a modern large-scale dairy since 1971. Today, around 1,300 employees work across seven companies at the Aretsried site. These companies include the dairy, the fruit processing company Naturfarm, the logistics company Culina Logistics GmbH, the cup manufacturing company Optipack GmbH, and the truck workshop Fahrzeugtechnik Aretsried GmbH. Müller has shaped the market with numerous innovations, such as buttermilk, kefir, Müller Corner ("Joghurt mit der Ecke"), Müller Rice and Müllermilch. The company continues to hold leading positions in many segments. The Aretsried site is the origin of the internationally operating UTM, and we look forward to welcoming new colleagues who will help shape the future of our business fields. #AddingTasteToLife #Location

Meet the Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller: from a village dairy to a food corporation It is safe to say that every German has one of our products on their table almost every day, whether a dairy product, fish delicatessen, dressing or as an ingredient that we supply for other segments of the food industry, such as cheese for pizza or lactose and whey proteins for baby food. We also shape the industry internationally - whether in Great Britain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy or Israel. Founded in 1896, the company is still 100 per cent family-owned today - with all the advantages this entails: Investments are not geared to short-term profit, but to long-term returns. At the same time, decisions are made quickly. Part of the Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller are strong dairy brands such as Müller, Weihenstephan or Landliebe. Private labels and basic dairy products complete the portfolio. In addition to the milk-processing subsidiaries, the group also includes the packaging company Optipack, the company's own truck workshop FTA and the logistics company Culina. Convenience food activities are also part of the group. The product range thus also includes wellknown brands in the sauces and fish specialities segment such as Homann, Lisner and Nadler. We steer almost the entire value chain from our own hands - from packaging production to food manufacturing and transport. The products of the Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller are manufactured in 18 factories in Germany, Great Britain, the Czech Republic and Poland.

A part of the UTM History ⏲️ - From milk to Müller Today we would like to take you back, where it all began. In 1896, Ludwig Müller founded a village dairy in Aretsried, Bavaria. 1938 the trained cheesemaker Alois Müller takes over the dairy in the second generation. After hand and horse-drawn carts, from the 1950s the milk is conveniently collected by tractor, and from 1973 by the company's own collection lorries. In 1971, son Theo Müller takes over the dairy with four employees in the third generation. This is where our success story starts, in the 70s. Theo Müller drives process and product innovations leading to rapid growth. An in-house sales organisation, well-known advertising campaigns and the first TV commercials make Müller known throughout Germany. Soon other European countries should follow. More to come in our next #UTMHistory. #UnternehmensgruppeTheoMüller #AddingTasteToLife

Meet Julius, our Head of Engineering Maintenance in MCR Technology! 🚀 Julius’s journey with UTM began in 2008 when he started his apprenticeship as an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering. Over the years, he has advanced through various roles with unwavering dedication: He has progressed from being a Measurement, Control and Regulation (MCR) maintenance technician in our cheese factory to becoming MCR Technology area manager for whey processing. In 2022, Julius stepped into his current role as Head of Engineering Maintenance, where he leads his team with a focus on innovation, teamwork, and technical excellence. Alongside his professional growth, he also earned a diploma via remote studies at @[Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden] to expand his expertise. 🎓 In his current position, Julius focuses on maintaining the high availability of critical systems, such as process control technology, while fostering the personal and professional growth of his team. He is passionate about implementing modern maintenance strategies and ensuring equipment stays at the cutting edge. 📊 What he enjoys most about his role is the variety of challenges and the teamwork. For Julius no two days are the same – you can plan, but the surprises always keep it exciting and rewarding. ✨ The day in Julius’ team usually starts early with a team coffee to review the past 15 hours and align on priorities. The team then dives into project planning, resolving technical challenges, or tackling ad-hoc tasks – all with a shared focus on solutions. And one thing remains sacred: the lunch break at 11:30 a.m. – a moment to chat over a shared meal in the canteen or some home-made food. 🕛 💡 Julius’s advice for new colleagues? Stay open to change, think creatively, and always bring a sense of humor. After all, it's impossible to get the best out of our work without having fun. #vielmehralsdudenkst #careerdevelopment #roleofthemonth #teamspirit #measurementcontrolregulation #utmcareers

🎄Christmas at Molkerei Weihenstephan: peak performance for our dairy products 🥛🧈 Like his namesake, Patrick Santa is also very busy during the Christmas season. Only the subject matter is a bit different (and the work clothes). The Christmas period needs to be well prepared for, and the overall production manager at the Weihenstephan dairy spends around a third of the year planning and preparing for it. After all, consumers want to be supplied with our dairy products, especially in the run-up to Christmas, whether it's the butter for baking biscuits, the cream for cooking or the milk provided for Santa Claus 😊. However, the frontrunners are butter and cream, which are in much higher demand at Christmas time. Accordingly, the production capacities at the dairy are utilised to the full – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ‘I'm always pleased with what we've achieved by Christmas. It makes me proud. And when everything's done, we can celebrate Christmas in peace.’ With this in mind, Happy Holidays and Season's Greetings from (Patrick) Santa! 🎅 #MolkereiWeihenstephan #Christmas #UnternehmensgruppeTheoMüller

Today we would like to introduce you to Melanie, who heads the Müller Production System (MPS) team at our Leppersdorf site. 🌟 Since April 2021, she has been part of Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller, starting as a technical assistant to the Operations Plant Management in Leppersdorf. In August 2022, she took over as Head of MPS team, which also meant she successfully realised her career goal of achieving a management position. 📊 The main focus of her work lies on training employees in Lean Management through workshops, methods, tools, and KPIs. Additionally, she supports our leaders in establishing effective Lean Leadership. 🌟 Melanie is passionate about questioning things and continuously improving them. She enjoys bringing this skill to our site, which also adds a great deal of joy to her work and energises her to come to work every day. 🚀 💡 Her best advice for new colleagues? ➡️ Bring an inner fire for lean, change things, recognize waste, and address unpleasant issues professionally. Being proficient with a well-stocked toolbox of lean tools is, of course, an advantage. A little fun fact at the end: the MPS team places great value on punctuality. Therefore, they have an internal agreement to compensate for delays with quark balls - recently, 16 delicious quark balls were served at the latest team meeting. 😄 Are you ready to join Melanie and her team? We are currently looking for a Lean Management Expert (m/f/d). Please find the link to the position in the comments 👇 #leanmanagement #lean #vielmehralsdudenkst #roleofthemonth #addingtastetolife

Let's celebrate the diversity of St. Nicholas Day 🎅 On December 6th, we celebrate St. Nicholas Day, a cherished tradition in Bavaria, the place of origin of the #UnternehmensgruppeTheoMüller, and many other regions where the UTM operates. In #Germany, the customs vary by region. In Bavaria, children eagerly place their polished boots outside the door on the night of December 5th, hoping to find them filled with sweets, nuts, and small gifts the next morning. In some areas, the fearsome Krampus accompanies St. Nicholas, reminding naughty children to behave. Similarly, in Saxony, Lower Saxony, Thuringia, and North Rhine-Westphalia, children also place their boots out, but here, St. Nicholas is often accompanied by Knecht Ruprecht, who distributes gifts or sometimes a rod for the naughty ones. In #England and Scotland, St. Nicholas Day isn’t celebrated, but the festive spirit is alive and well with Father Christmas making his grand appearance on Christmas Eve. Meanwhile, in the Czech Republic, the evening of December 5th sees St. Nicholas, accompanied by an angel and a devil, visiting homes to reward well-behaved children with treats and leave coal or potatoes for the naughty ones. In #Poland, children wake up on December 6th to find small gifts under their pillows or in their shoes, left by St. Nicholas. Italy has regional celebrations, particularly in Bari, where St. Nicholas’ relics are kept, leading to grand festivities. In South Tyrol and Friuli, influenced by German traditions, St. Nicholas and Krampus make their rounds. In the #Netherlands, Sinterklaas arrives on December 5th, known as Pakjesavond, bringing gifts. Children place their shoes by the fireplace, finding them filled with sweets and small presents the next morning. What unique traditions do you have for St. Nicholas Day? 🎅 Share with us in the comments below! #AddingTasteToLife #Christmas #SaintNicholasDay Picture created with AI
