If you did, or when you do, you will find a special gift from the University of Luxembourg: a personalised clip capturing your individual moment on stage during your graduation ceremony! Thanks to our partnership with StageClip, attendees received an individual memorable keepsake to celebrate their hard work and success. These clips were made to be easily shareable with family and friends. In your student inboxes you will find an email with instructions on how to download and share your clip. As we wrap up 2024, we take a moment to celebrate our vibrant and ever-growing community. This year... 🌟 ...we reached over 2k members on our alumni platform as we marked the first year since its launch; 🌟 ...new alumni groups like Certificate in Sustainable Development and Social Innovation Group and History Alumni Group were created on our platform; 🌟 ... we had new GradPack partners like the International Kunstverein Luxembourg (IKL) joining; 🌟 ...our community here, on LinkedIn, crossed 3k mark; 🌟 ...for the first time ever, alumni joined the team of the University of Luxembourg at Escher Kulturlaf; 🌟 ...we also strengthened our community with the launch of new initiatives, including alumni panels organised in collaboration with the study programmes and our first Summer Party and webinar - all the events aimed at supporting both current students and fellow alumni. Graduation Week is behind us and what a week it was! This year we had nearly 1,600 students graduating with Bachelor, Master, PhD, or lifelong learning degrees. Congratulations to all our new graduates! Now part of the close to 17,000 #uni_lu alumni, we are looking forward to welcoming them to the alumni community, where they will discover events, news, career support, and more, tailored for our alumni and available at www.alumni.uni.lu. 🎓 And one special shout-out to new graduates Marc François and Mathieu François, a father and son duo who got their degrees on consecutive days, a first to our knowledge! #GraduationWeek #Luxembourg #Alumni

About our very first alumni webinar ...   Yesterday, the University of Luxembourg Alumni Network achieved something remarkable—keeping self-proclaimed social media addict Aswin Lutchanah off social media for nearly an hour and a half!   Why? Because he was busy sharing his insights as our guest speaker on our webinar Personal Branding in the Professional World.   Some key takeaways from Aswin's engaging session: ✅ Your personal brand is yours to manage – If you don't take charge, others will shape it for you. ✅ Positivity is key – When engaging online, even amidst differing opinions, maintain a constructive and professional tone. ✅ Consistency matters – Align your presence across platforms to strengthen your credibility. ✅ Opportunities await – Sharing your thoughts and expertise in your field can lead to unexpected and exciting opportunities.   💡 And here’s a tip Aswin didn’t include: Don’t forget to step away from the screen every once in a while. Balance is essential!   📸 One lesson we learned? Last week the University of Luxembourg hosted its annual Rentrée Académique which celebrates the start of a new academic year and honours inspiring #uni_lu teachers and students. There’s nothing better for current students than to hear from alumni about their career paths, and that is exactly how the new students in the Bachelor en Cultures Européenes (BCE) started their semester this year. For the first time, as part of the welcome programme for incoming BCE students, a BCE Alumni Round Table was organised with alumni Catarina Martins and Gaël Arellano sharing the paths that led them from campus to Eurovision and the studios of RTL, respectively. Catarina shared her journey from studying European cultures to becoming Chargée de Projet for the Eurovision 2024 relaunch in Luxembourg, while Gaël discussed his transition from academia to the fast-paced world of media as a journalist and show host at RTL. Their experiences and advice to the new students showcased the diverse career paths available to BCE graduates, helping them gain insights into various career trajectories, and feel motivated to pursue their unique paths.
