Urbanization is a significant ongoing trend, with cities expected to play an increasingly important role in economic, ecological, and political contexts. The United Nations projects that by 2050, nearly 70% of the global population will live in urban areas, leading to the growth of cities and substantial needs for infrastructure reorganization. This shift will demand considerable natural resources, financial investments, and strategic decision-making to accommodate the changing urban landscape. The key findings of the study categorized the primary change drivers and phenomena influencing the future of urban living and construction. The analysis identified ten main drivers and a total of 42 associated phenomena. Drivers are defined as broader forces driving development, while phenomena encompass smaller trends, wild cards, and weak signals that arise from or relate to these drivers. #brelforum2024 #brelf2024 #BRELForumAwards2024
