    For many, HR + AI = 💔 "HR tools have been found to make rash, negative judgements on applicants who have Black-sounding names, prefer men, or skip over candidates who ... have employment gaps on their résumés." (Great article by Amanda Hoover from WIRED.) However, not all AI is the same. In Hyperscan's pitch deck, I have a slide titled: "🤖 AI = processor for unstructured data." What do I mean by that? Hyperscan uses LLMs to answer questions about the users' resumes that are explicitly defined by the recruiter. "Do they have at least 7 years of experience in a sales role?" has little do to with gender, name, employment gaps etc. It's ✅ Yes or ❌ No. "Have they worked for a SaaS company?" "Do they have a German name?" "Do they have any experience related to healthcare?" "Have they studied in the U.S.?" All of these are transparent criteria. ✅ Yes or ❌ No. And who's a good fit in the end? That's up to the recruiter, not the AI, to decide. Would you agree?
