     Sir John Robert Whyte Ackroyd, 2nd Bt. was born on 2 March 1932.2 He was the son of Sir Cuthbert Lowell Ackroyd, 1st Bt. and Joyce Wallce Whyte.2 He married Jennifer Eileen McLeod Bishop, daughter of Henry George Stokes Bishop, on 23 March 1956.2 He died on 30 August 1995 at age 63.2
     He was educated at Bradfield School, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery.2 He fought in the campaign in Jordan between 1951 and 1952.2 He was Steward of the Oxford University Drama Society in 1954.2 He graduated from Worcester College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1955 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He graduated from Worcester College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1958 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was underwriting member of Lloyd's before 1969.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Ackroyd, of Dewsbury, Yorkshire [U.K., 1956] on 11 April 1973.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Music (F.R.C.M.) in 1988.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.) in 1989.2

     Philadelphia Carey was the daughter of Hon. Thomas Carey. She married Sir Henry Lyttelton, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Lyttelton, 1st Bt. and Catherine Crompton, before 1663.1 She died on 2 August 1663.1
     From before 1663, her married name became Lyttelton.1

Robert Carey, 1st Earl of Monmouth, 1591 1
     Robert Carey, 1st Earl of Monmouth was born in 1560.2 He was the son of Henry Carey, 1st Baron Hunsdon of Hunsdon and Ann Morgan.3 He married Elizabeth Trevannion, daughter of Sir Hugh Trevannion and Sybilla Morgan, on 20 August 1593 at Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, EnglandG. He died on 12 April 1639.3
     He held the office of Chamberlain of the Household, of Charles, Prince of Wales.4 He was created 1st Baron Carey of Leppington, co. York [England] on 6 February 1621/22.4 He was created 1st Earl of Monmouth [England] on 5 February 1625/26.4
