     Helen Le Marchant was born circa 1803.² She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. John Gaspard Le Marchant and Mary Carey.^1,3 She married Henry Francis Shaw-Lefevre, son of Charles Shaw-Lefevre and Helena Lefevre, on 20 March 1827.¹ She died on 19 February 1833.^3,2
     From 20 March 1827, her married name became Shaw-Lefevre.¹

     Maj.-Gen. John Gaspard Le Marchant was born on 9 February 1766 at Amiens, France^G.³ He was the son of John Le Marchant and Mary Catherine Hirzel.⁴ He married Mary Carey, daughter of John Carey.³ He died on 22 July 1812 at age 46 at Salamanca, Spain^G, killed in action, leading the Heavy Brigade.³
     He was Lieutenant-Governor of the Royal Military College, Sandhurst.³ He invented the sword exercise.³ He fought in the Battle of Salamanca on 22 July 1812.³

     Elizabeth Emma Foster was born circa 1807.² She was the daughter of Reverend John Foster.¹ She married Henry Francis Shaw-Lefevre, son of Charles Shaw-Lefevre and Helena Lefevre, on 2 December 1835.¹ She died in 1842, without issue.¹
     From 2 December 1835, her married name became Shaw-Lefevre.¹

     Emma Laura Whitbread was baptised on 12 August 1798 at Essendon, Hertfordshire, England.³ She was the daughter of Samuel Whitbread and Lady Elizabeth Grey.^1,4 She married Charles Shaw-Lefevre, 1st and last Viscount Eversley of Heckfield, son of Charles Shaw-Lefevre and Helena Lefevre, on 24 June 1817.¹ She died on 20 June 1857 at age 58.¹
     From 24 June 1817, her married name became Shaw-Lefevre.¹ After her marriage, Emma Laura Whitbread was styled as Viscountess Eversley of Heckfield on 11 April 1857.

     Samuel Whitbread was born in 1764.² He was the son of Samuel Whitbread and Harriot Hayton.^2,3 He married Lady Elizabeth Grey, daughter of General Charles Grey, 1st Earl Grey and Elizabeth Grey, in 1789.⁴ He died on 6 July 1815 at 35 Dover Street, London, England, from suicide.^4,3,5
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Southill.⁴ He lived at Southill, Bedfordshire, England^G.¹
