Anastazija Celikovska, директорка за производство во Food Bar, ни се придружи на првата сесија на предизвикот каде што ги запозна учесниците со Food Bar и сподели увид во нивните напори за намалување на отпадот. Студентите се вклучија во прашања и одговори, истражувајќи како пренасочувањето на отпадот може да создаде нови деловни можности. Заедно, не само што го намалуваме отпадот, туку го градиме патот за одржлива иднина! 🌍💡 ——- 🌱 Huge thanks to our partner, Food Bar! 🌱 Teaming up with Food Bar, a leader in fresh food production that prioritizes waste reduction and embraces circular economy practices, is a major step forward for the EIT Food Waste Challenge Labs 2024. Recently, Anastazija Chelikovska, Director of Production at Food Bar, joined us for the first session where she introduced the participants to Food Bar and shared insights into their waste reduction efforts. Students then engaged in a Q&A, exploring how waste diversion could create new business opportunities. A key takeaway: Waste which is not recycled ends in landfills and poses a serious environmental challenge, so finding ways to reduce waste disposal is essential for a healthier society. For this session, Food Bar donated spinach stalk waste, which Assoc. Prof. Dr Mishela Temkov will use as a test case to extract nutritional components in Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy laboratories, giving students hands-on experience in sustainable innovation. The event, held at the Energo Tehnoma fair with over 7,000 attendees, brought together industry leaders and innovators to showcase advancements and collaborative opportunities in manufacturing. Yesterday marked the official start of the training sessions, designed to develop critical skills, inspire creative thinking, and guide participants toward practical, impactful solutions to tackle waste challenges in our country. Special thanks to our dedicated mentors Prof Dr Mishela Temkov, Prof Dr Natalija Atanasova Pancevska Anastazija Chelikovska and the support from BAU staff Nikola Ognenovski and Teodora Fildishevska, who introduced participants to the opportunities, pressing challenges, and innovative solutions they’ll be developing over the coming weeks.
