🚨 Questions Raised in The SEO World Over Originality.AI’s Detection Software.🚨 And why you need to think twice before trusting it. Recently, we scanned a text for AI content once and got the following result: ‘86% Original / 14% AI’ We accidentally closed the program before copying the link, so we scanned it again, and... surprise, we got a different result: ‘35% Original / 65% AI’. Yet, nothing was changed in the text in between the two scans. But that didn’t matter. The client thought the article was written using ChatGPT, and we reworked it free of charge. Yes, even though no AI was used to begin with and the article went through two phases of editing. While the tool is promoted as “the best AI content detector”, it doesn’t seem to be as reliable, considering its varying results. It’s a tough spot to be in, as the score is based purely on how many “typical AI phrases it detects”, and is less about the quality of writing itself. How do you handle these scenarios? Can every topic be written about in a fun, unique manner? Taxes? Credit cards? Inheritance law? It can if you’re Ridarec. Let’s talk about it. ♻️ Share this if you've had a similar experience with AI detection! ♻️

Writers love giving this advice – “cut the fluff”. But without explaining what “fluff” is, the advice is as useful as a broken parachute. Here’s what “fluff” means: ❌ Overly complex language ❌ Repetitive words and phrases ❌ Filler words – “very”, “like”, “really”, etc. ❌ Excessive use of adjectives and adverbs ❌ Vague statements that don’t convey a clear message ❌ Unnecessary details that don’t add anything valuable to your core message Once you know what “fluff” means, be ruthless about cutting it out of your copy. ✅ You’ll write better posts ✅ You’ll tell engaging stories ✅ You’ll convey a clear message ✅ You’ll attract more clients and customers What kind of “fluff” do you hate seeing in copy? PS By ruthlessly cutting fluff, we don’t mean defiling your copy to the point of sounding like an imbecile. We mean being selective of the words you use. #contentwriting #copywriting #contentediting #Ridarec

Found yourself writing for a new niche market? Struggling, not knowing where to start? Or maybe you’ve written the first draft, but it turned out so bland it may not even rank? You’re not alone. The biggest challenge is often the lack of deep, targeted research. Without it, your content risks being generic and missing the mark. Here’s how to avoid that and create content that truly connects: Start with Forums and Groups Dive into where your audience actually spends time. Reddit, specialized Facebook groups, and niche forums are goldmines. Here, you’ll find real conversations, pain points, and the language your audience uses. This is where you gather the insights that generic Google searches miss. Watch Relevant Videos YouTube is more than just entertainment. Search for interviews with industry experts, customer reviews, and even competitor content. Videos provide nuances that text can’t capture—like tone, emotion, and body language. Conduct Personal Interviews Reach out directly to people in the niche. A quick 15-minute chat can reveal more than hours of online research. People love to share their experiences—they just need to be asked. Read Books on the Topic Books offer deep dives into subjects that blog posts often skim over. Find industry classics or self-published guides that cover your niche. This helps you build a solid understanding and gives your content a layer of depth. Blend Qualitative and Quantitative Data Combine what you learn from forums, videos, and interviews with hard data—like market reports and analytics. This mix ensures your content is not only relatable but also backed by facts. P.S. What’s your top research tip? Let’s share in the comments!

There you are, a blog all finished up, ready to hit ‘Publish’. Everything seems perfect until a tiny detail trips you up! 🧐 You catch a glaring “it’s” instead of “its” in a sentence in the middle… The grammar checker missed it, but the human eye didn’t. 🤔 It raises the question: could content editing programs ever truly replace human editors? The short answer is no. Not even close. 💁 Content editing programs are like those helpful friends who’ll point out when your shirt is inside out but won’t mention the spinach in your teeth. They’re great at catching the basics—grammar mistakes, typos—but the real magic of editing lies in the art of clarity, tone, and nuance. 🧠 That’s where human editors truly shine. They know when to dial up the sarcasm, soften the tone, or simplify complex ideas. They turn good content into something memorable. 🤖 AI editing tools are fantastic sidekicks—speeding up the process, suggesting improvements, and catching what might otherwise be missed. But they’re just that—sidekicks. The real hero of the story is still the human editor, who ensures content is not just correct, but compelling. So, will content editing programs make editors obsolete? Only if a robot can understand a joke about misplaced commas. Spoiler: they can’t. 😅

Here's a recap of this week's SEO news: 📰 ‼️ Google has lost the significant antitrust lawsuit brought by the DOJ, marking a major blow to its search business. The ruling states Google has an illegal monopoly over the online search market. It could lead to severe restrictions on how Google operates, potentially altering the tech giant’s dominance in the online sphere. ✉️ On the social media side of things, there a weird shift incoming: Facebook starts attracting more Gen Z users, while TikTok’s audience is increasingly shifting towards Boomers. This surprising trend highlights changing social media dynamics, as younger users rediscover Facebook and its perks like community groups and marketplace, while older demographics embrace TikTok's short-form content. 🧰 There also a new Google tool that identifies missed SEO opportunities for websites. It offers actionable insights to optimize content and improve search rankings, making it easier for marketers to target and address gaps in their SEO strategies. First impressions are split, however, over whether it can truly replace or even aid traditional SEO software. 👎 A new study from Washington State University has found that mentioning "artificial intelligence" in product descriptions can reduce purchase intentions. Consumers often view AI-related products as less trustworthy, highlighting the need for careful wording when marketing AI-driven innovations. Imagine this: You’re shopping online for a new gadget. You stumble upon a popular site. You find a blog post reviewing the exact product you’ve been eyeing. Perfect, right? But as you read, something feels off. The information is outdated, the specs listed are from an older model, and the pricing is way off. You start to lose trust in the site—if they can't keep their blog up-to-date, what does it say about the rest of their business? This is the danger of letting your content go stale. 🔄 Outdated content doesn’t just hurt your credibility—it can drive customers away. Accurate, current information is crucial if you want to have any chance in succeeding today. Especially in eCommerce, where sites have dedicated SEO teams updating content every day. When your blog content lags behind, you risk giving out wrong information that could mislead potential customers or make your site seem unreliable. And trust me, search engines notice when you’re not keeping up. 💡 That’s where effort calculations come in. When you consistently update your content, adding fresh insights, correcting outdated info, and ensuring everything is accurate, you’re sending a clear signal to both your audience and search engines: you care about quality. This effort boosts your rankings and keeps customers coming back. ❗ Bottom line: If your content is out of date, so is your business. ❗ Regularly refresh your blogs, update product details, and keep your site buzzing with the latest info. Your credibility—and your customers—will thank you. P.S. When did you last review the content you published a year ago?

A full year into SEO and you still don’t know what’s the Secret Sauce in Google’s Algorithm? 🤔 Let’s brighten your day! It all boils down to three main components: NavBoost, NSR, and ChardScores. They are the main guys choosing which sites soar and which ones sink Google’s rankings. 🔍 NavBoost boosts sites with good navigation - clear menus and easy-to-find content. 📈 NSR (Normalized Search Relevance) rewards relevant content that uses natural keywords and engages readers in a fun and meaningful way. 📊 ChardScores measures site health. It’s the technical sidekick that values speed, mobile-friendliness, and security. These three factors lead every SEO audit we do at Ridarec. We give each point a score and decide what needs improvement. And if you want to see what your score looks like, visit our website and schedule a call today. P.S.
