929 Challenge finalists have successfully completed their soft landing program in the Greater Bay Area of China 🇨🇳 (#GBA), focusing on fostering partnerships and strengthening collaborations within the ecosystem. These strategic meetings aimed to engage with the #GBA #startup community, share experiences, and identify effective ways to work together.
- We began our journey at Forum Macau, co-organizer of the 929 Challenge, where we were warmly welcomed by the Secretary General and delegates from Portuguese-speaking countries, building bridges for innovation and transforming ideas into global opportunities.
- Our visit to the Economic and Technological Development Bureau of Macau, main supporter of 929 provided valuable insights into the region's economic prospects and developments in the Greater Bay Area.
- At the MYEIC incubator, managed by Da Hengqin Corporation, finalists explored business opportunities and incubation programs for cross-border development.
- We also met with local companies and entities to discuss collaboration opportunities that promote regional growth and innovation. (CESL Asia - Investments & Services, Limited, Macau Pass S.A. - During a seminar on #Startup #Investments organized by the 929 Challenge at Rui Cunha Foundation C&C Lawyers and Notaries, teams shared their fundraising experiences and insights.
- We crossed the border to Hengqin, where the Center for Science & Technology Exchange between China and Portuguese-speaking countries hosted our startups, allowing them to showcase their projects to companies and VC firms. Other visits included TCM Park & exhibition hall of the cooperation zone.
- Impressive visit to the back of the house of Grand Lisboa Palace.
- Bruno Almeida, founder of IPLEXMED and winner of the 929 Challenge 2024, received a warm welcome from the Consul General of Portugal, Alexandre Leitão, and the Director of AICEP Macau, Bernardo Pinho.
- Finally, we visited the HKSTP - Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation to learn about their incubator programs, enjoying a delightful Dim Sum lunch with HKSTP executives to further foster connections and collaboration.
