Under our “Cage-Free & Free-Range Egg and Chicken Policy,” the Company has set a goal to source 100% of our eggs from cage-free sources throughout our global portfolio by 2030. As part of MRI, we are committed to the humane treatment of animals and to reducing environmental impacts in our food supply chain. Successful Conclusion of the "Green, Low-Carbon National Youth Science Popularization Competition" Nationwide Award Ceremony The "Green, Low-Carbon National Youth Science Popularization Competition – Shaping a Green Life Together," sponsored by MGM, concluded successfully last weekend at the Macao Science Center (MSC). The competition attracted approximately 600 entries from 16 regions across China, including Hong Kong and Macau. Among these, 100 elite teams were invited to Macau to showcase their creations and compete for the prestigious top ten national honors. Participating students presented their innovative works to a panel of professional judges, explaining the original ideas behind their designs and how they applied scientific principles to address environmental pollution caused by everyday plastic waste. The judges, formed by a cross-disciplinary panel of professionals evaluated the entries based on five key criteria: theme relevance, innovation, practicality, design, and presentation. As part of the competition, judges conducted live negotiations to purchase the students' creations and awarded cash prizes. The collected creations will be publicly exhibited in the near future, while the top ten national creations will have wider educational promotion opportunities to showcase and amplify their positive impact. In addition to the competition, MGM organized educational visits for teachers, students, and parents from various provinces. Participants explored the POLY MGM MUSEUM and the local Eco-Fun Stations, where they gained insights into Macau's unique blend of Eastern and Western cultural heritage, as well as its local environmental facilities and initiatives. The national competition marks a significant milestone in the three-year "Sustainable Development Innovation & Technology and Green Skills Education Campaign," launched by MGM and the MSC in 2024. This initiative aims to promote green skills education by fostering the knowledge, abilities, values, and attitudes necessary to create a sustainable, resource-efficient society. By empowering young talents, MGM and MSC hope to inspire meaningful contributions to the global green transition. The "Green, Low-Carbon National Youth Science Popularization Competition – Shaping a Green Life Together" was made possible through the support of the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government. It was organized by the China Green Building Council of CSUS, co-organized by the Macao Science Center and the China Green Building and Energy Saving (Macau) Association, and sponsored by MGM.
