The Sustainable Development Directorate organised Malta’s first Sustainable Development Multi-Stakeholder Forum which brought together key stakeholders from government, businesses, academia as well as voluntary organisations, creating a platform for the exchange of success stories, challenges and lessons learned regarding the implementation of the seventeen sustainable development goals. This Forum comes at a significant time as Malta prepares to submit it’s Second Voluntary National Review at the United Nations High Level Political Forum on the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, in New York July 2025. --------- Id-Direttorat għall-Iżvilupp Sostenibbli organizza l-ewwel Multi-Stakeholder forum f’Malta dwar l-iżvilupp sostenibbli li ġabar flimkien partijiet interessati mill-Gvern, in-negozji, l-akkademja kif ukoll għaqdiet volontarji, u serva bħala pjattaforma għall-iskambju ta’ inizjattivi ta’ suċċess, sfidi u opportunitajiet fir-rigward tal-implimentazzjoni tas-sbatax-il Għan ta’ Żvilupp Sostenibbli. 𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙖'𝙨 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙑𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 (𝙑𝙉𝙍) 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙬𝙖𝙮❗ Through the VNRs countries assess progress in achieving the 17 SDGs. These reviews facilitate the sharing of experiences, including successes, lessons learned and challenges in the implementation of the Agenda 2030. Today, we proudly launched the Football for the Goals project ⚽ This initiative is a collaboration between the Sustainable Development Directorate, Inħobb il-Futbol Foundation and Edukazzjoni united by a shared vision to harness the power of football to drive positive change and raise awareness to the Sustainable Development Goals. Throughout this initiative schools will learn about the SDGs and compete in an inter-school football tournament, where 17 teams will represent each of the SDGs.
