- While representing in Portuguese, these Brazilian rabble-rousers are just as playfully snarky in English. Right out of the gate, CSS's euphoric electro-rock drips with sleaze and sass, as hard-edged beats fuel ecstatic chants on "C.S.S. Suxxx". From there, they gleefully mock celebrity ("Meeting Paris Hilton") and find pleasure in their most favourite things with the deliriously catchy nu-disco of "Let's Make Love and Listen to Death from Above" and the crunchy guitar groove of "Music Is My Hot, Hot Sex".

About CSS
São Paulo, Brazil's CSS formed in 2003, after meeting at clubs and through Internet social-networking groups, and began crafting their unique but unpretentious sound through trial and error. CSS' extensively downloaded songs eventually caught the attention of more traditional media in Brazil and Europe. The band released two EPs on their own in 2004, Em Rotterdam Ja e uma Febre and A Onda Mortal/Uma Tarde com PJ, before signing to Trama Virtual. Their debut album, Cansei de Ser Sexy, was released in Brazil in 2005. Early in 2006, Sub Pop signed the band and the label released Cansei de Ser Sexy in North America that summer. ~ Heather Phares
