About Parkway Drive
Australian metalcore outfit Parkway Drive spent a decade building a devoted fan base at home before experimenting with a more melodic yet heavy-hitting sound that drew intentional acclaim. ∙ Recorded with Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz as producer, their 2005 full-length debut, Killing with a Smile, launched a streak of five Gold-certified albums. ∙ Their breakout LP, Deep Blue, was named by Kerrang! as one of the 50 Best Albums from 2010, and it was their first of four releases to hit the Top 40 of the Billboard 200 chart. ∙ Inspired in part by Rage Against the Machine and featuring an ’80s throwback sound on such tracks as the hit “Vice Grip,” 2015’s Ire was their first No. 1 in Australia and the US. ∙ On 2018’s Reverence, frontman Winston McCall swapped his signature screams for clean vocals on tracks such as “The Void,” earning the band both heavy radio play and an ARIA Award.
