A year after swinging Cole Porter with the bandleader, hard-charging Anita O'Day sounds downright frisky navigating Rodgers and Hart alongside Billy May's deftly in-your-face big band. O'Day bobs and weaves through a frantic "Johnny One Note" and almost cracks up during the playfully macabre "To Keep My Love Alive". "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered" is all flirty seduction, and a knowing smile also seems to lie behind "Little Girl Blue", which finds sadness at the circus.
