“I tried to imagine each song in a world so far from their original,” rising Sydney singer-songwriter Carla Wehbe says of the three tracks making up her Apple Music Home Session. “I put ‘introvert (with extroverted expectations)’ in a more rock space,” she says of her warm, rhythmic, string-laden indie-pop track. “I turned ‘jupiter and mars’ into a cute ukulele song,” she explains about the tender track from her 2023 EP of the same name. The alternate versions of Wehbe’s original tracks are accompanied by a cover of The Veronicas’ “Everything I’m Not”. “I had so much fun reimagining ‘Everything I’m Not’ into a sad ballad,” she says. “It was one of my favourite songs growing up.”
