About Maria Radutu
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember sitting on the floor of the Romanian Broadcast Concert Hall because there were a lot more people in the audience then available seats. I was fascinated by the enthusiasm of so many people experiencing classical music together. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky: Trios / Argerich, Kremer, Maisky Grigory Sokolov, Grigory Sokolov Plays Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Scriabin, Stravinsky, Prokofiev Myriam Fuks, Myriam Fuks I love this albums because they are for me the symbols of bold choice, both in the music and interpretation Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Orfeo ed Euridice: Dance of the Blessed Spirits Arr. by Giovanni Sgambati” It is for me the one song to hear that music lives over the centuries. It is the oldest piece I ever recorded, written in the 18th century, but it's sound is still relevant for our modern times. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Asking in the Carnegie Hall for my artists room was memorable for my ego. But the moments that really matter are when people from the audience come to me and are excited about discovering something deeply personal in the music I choose to play Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There is so much music I want to bring on stage and albums that the 250 characters of this answer are not enough. My main goal is to stay curious and bold.
