About Yekaterinburg Philharmonic Choir

Russia's Yekaterinburg Philharmonic Choir has performed widely in the West as well as at home, developing a worldwide reputation, although it was founded only in 2008. The choir has begun a recording program under new conductor Andrei Petrenko. The group includes 60 singers, all professionals, and performs roughly 50 concerts annually, both in Russia and abroad. The choir's repertory is broad and is by no means restricted to Russian works. Signed to the Fuga Libera label, the group, with Petrenko as conductor, released the album Great Music of Small Forms in 2023. Several more albums followed in late 2023, and in 2024, the Yekaterinburg Philharmonic Choir released the album Russian Choral Concertos: An Introduction.
