Adrian Mojica, born in 1993) got his start in the 2010s with distortion-soaked, lo-fi downbeat, but with 2015’s Redshift, he swerved into juke and footwork, initiating his journey into uptempo rhythms and hard-charging grooves. By the turn of the decade, AceMo had established the air of emotional overdrive that distinguishes his best work, whether the lush, melodic techno of I Want to Believe or the super-saturated jungle of his records alongside MoMa Ready in the duo AceMoMa.
