“Give me words to speak/Don’t let my spirit sleep”, implores Aaron Shust at the start of this tremendous album. He laments that he “can’t think of anything worth saying”, but inspiration strikes pretty quickly: The intro is followed by 11 tracks of uplifting, worshipful rock, adorned with big guitars and sly electronics, but most noteworthy for their earnest adoration. All the songs land, but the showstopper is the soaring ballad “My Savior My God.”
