I'm Gone

I'm Gone

I’m Gone is an interesting title for an artist who used his debut album, Industry Plant, to flip an internet troll’s dismissal on its head. But on Puerto Rico-born, Corpus Christi-raised iann dior’s second official album, the singer moves on from taunting haters to picking out which room he wants in the house of do-it-all genre-hopping pop stars. dior swerves through a number of disparate styles on I’m Gone, including smoothed-out electro (“Pretty Girls”), pop punk (“Sick and Tired”), and Southern trap (“Prospect”). Feature-wise, he’s invited Machine Gun Kelly, Travis Barker, and Lil Baby to tag along, artists he identifies with on a lifestyle level, if nothing else. At least that’s what dior will have us believe on “Paradise,” rapping, “Do what I want/Spend it how I like/Always get it back/N*gga, I’ma live my life.”
