The proper follow-up to his 2020 project Town Shit, this expanded sequel from singer Tony Loya continues in a similar vein, bringing trapcorridos with a distinct edge. On “En Lo Mío,” he celebrates his successes while raising an eyebrow to those newly looking to ride his wave. Dismissing those who didn’t see his vision until it was too late is one of the recurring themes here, as are luxury and violence. He’s trigger-happy while eating Brazilian meat feasts on “No Hook No Feelings,” and he plots revenge against betrayals on “Pin Collector.” Throughout, he regularly indulges in ad libs full of brags and scoffs, adding another dimension to the tough talk of his lyrics.
