About Ashe

Since debuting her first solo single, 2017’s bumpin’ “Used to It,” Ashe has blended the intimacy of singer/songwriter fare with the electronic swells and glitzy production of 21st-century pop, producing heartfelt, deliriously catchy tunes. Born Ashlyn Rae Wilson in California in 1993, Ashe got started early, putting her childhood piano lessons to good use by crafting songs in her teens and eventually moving on to the Berklee College of Music to master writing and production before heading to Nashville. Her path to a solo career began with guest spots on dance tracks, using her dreamy, nimble voice to fill out the rhythms conjured by producers like Ben Phipps and Louis The Child. But “Used to It” established Ashe as a stand-alone force, and the darker tones of follow-up single “Girl Who Cried Wolf” expanded on her sound by combining analogue elements like acoustic guitar with the electronic buzz of fat synthesizers. Her first EP, 2018’s The Rabbit Hole, dove further into the possibilities of that organic pop sound as Ashe continued to address heartbreak, big love, and the strangeness of life. She was thrust into the chart spotlight in 2020 as her dramatic, rousing divorce anthem “Moral of the Story” was placed in the teen romantic comedy To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You and became a TikTok sensation.
