SOYUZ

Soyuz (also known as СОЮЗ) is a quickly changing collective of experimentally minded musicians from Minsk, Belarus, based around core members Mikita Arlou and Alex Chumak. The group creates a sound drawn from disparate styles, with their earliest material combining electro-pop sterility with warm, jazzy folk instrumentation, and later material paying homage to the woozy, dreamlike atmospheres of '70s Brazilian jazz-funk. Soyuz's third album, 2022's Force of the Wind, was especially illustrative of such sounds.
